Amazing elementary school ud83dude0d wonderful supportive community! The teachers are all top notch. Special programs include: the seven habits integrated into the school day and school culture, Code to the Future coding and robotics, music instruction including instrumental music and a fabulous choir, ceramics, and a strong literary focus! The school also features a beautiful new playground and new buildings! The principal, Ms. Lucas, and her faculty and staff are compassionate and professional. I highly recommend NCES!

Norma Coombs is an amazing community with outstanding teachers, awesome parents and terrific kids. We consistently log over 5400 hours per year in volunteer time. We are developing Literate Leaders - we won a state award for our Reading and Literacy program and we have implemented The Leader in Me/7 Habits Program. Come take a tour, speak to the parents, speak to the teachers and staff and I think you will agree at the Norma Coombs is a wonderful little community.

Our daughter has gone to Norma Coombs from Kinder through 3rd grade so far. We stayed with Norma Coombs despite moving out of Pasadena, and we will continue to send her to Norma Coombs through 5th grade. Our daughter in involved in after-school choir and coding programs, and the normal-school-day curriculum this year includes violin, swimming, and ceramics along with language arts, math, and science curriculum that is actually ahead of some other schools that we've toured.nnThis is a wonderful school with incredibly talented and invested staff and teachers, and a very diverse student body. I frequently recommend it to other parents in the area whose children go to other schools, especially when they complain about things their schools are doing wrong that Norma Coombs does right!nnLike other schools in PUSD, Norma Coombs is being affected by mismanagement and shake-ups at the district-level, but the staff and teachers have been doing a commendable job of bearing the brunt of these challenges and maintaining a high quality of education and environment for the children.

NCES is blessed to have consistently talented teachers. It was also our pleasure to have Mrs. Caldwell, as a 2nd teacher to my eldest son; she is amazing! Ms. Debbie is just the most wonderful kindergarten teacher your child could have. Definitely a good school with involved & caring parents, being involved is contagious and there are simple ways to help the school. In addition, there are many fun activities outside the classroom; from launching kid rockets, Science Center, Math night, Restaurant nights, etc.
