Warthog Barbeque Pit

I ordered the sliced brisket... don't bother. It was WAY overcooked and very dry and crumbly. They tried to hide it with sauce but that never works.nMy biggest complaint when this kind of thing happens is; if the owner/manager likes BBQ they would NEVER serve something like this. This is a serious red flag that they're only in it for the $$$, not the love of good BBQ.nI understand that restaurants have slim margins, and they have to make a profit to stay in business. But you will drive away your best potential customers (like me) who would've returned again and again. Instead, you get a bad review and I'll never return. Raise your prices if you must to produce quality BBQ, fans like me will pay for quality.nThe good part was that the service was very friendly, and the coleslaw, beans, and cornbread (very moist!) were pretty dang good.

Super good food, wonderful atmosphere with lots of history, and great service.

I enjoyed Chicken Cesar Salad right to the point where chicken bones were a little hard to chew in the salad. Great flavor the chicken not the bones they ruined it for me. Not like they are super busy now. Patience while sorting bones from meat would go a long way.

Great food

Average bbq. Ordered takeout during restaurant rally. Got the sampler platter. The highlight was their sausage. Brisket was so so, the turkey was like store bought compressed breast meat. Pork was ok. I did like their sauces they sent along with the order. Beans were good but the two portions we got had a big piece of fat and and big pepper respectively that was odd. Cornbread muffins might as well have been char-broiled they were so burned.nnReally though, their sausage was a standout. ReallynFlavorful and unique. Worth a try!
