I met the nicest sheriff up here today while walking! I have noticed more police up here in my community which is a relief especially with all the fireworks that have been set off up here. We live up in the mountains so these fireworks that people are illegally setting off are a real fire hazard. I am just thankful more sheriff's have been checking up on our community recently.

Me and 3 friends went to a hike at Switzer falls we all wore basketball shorts hiking shoes and carried backpacks with snacks and water on our way down we were pulled over by a sheriff on foothill and Angeles crest, the officer then proceeded to call for backup and the backup called for backup soon there was 5/6 sheriff vehicles at the parking lot of the 7/11 we were searched one of my friends the driver was put in handcuffs and then in the back of a squad car we were patted down all that good stuff after an hour of the sheriffs doing fine work and not finding anything to pin on us they proceeded to tell us “you know what you guys don’t look like gangbangers” it felt great getting racially profiled as we are all Mexican so they gave my friend a bs fix it ticket for a brake light and let us go. This is for the La Canada area sheriffs ***

The absolute most incompetent group of so called sherrifs known. They don't do their jobs correctly and when contacted they state they don't patrol La Crescenta and force you to call the LAPD Foothill division who has nothing to do with this area. I spoke to a detective today from LAPD Foothill division who confirmed our area is supposed to be patrolled by Briggs sherrifs. Ive been dealing with this for six months and have gotten nothing but the run around from the pathetic Briggs sherrifs. I guess they want someone to be killed instead of handling the situation of people driving up to 60 miles an hour on a residential street located by an elementary school. Some of these officers are so out of shape and fat they couldnt catch a crimunal if they tried. Where is the justice? The Briggs sherrifs certainly wont be there to help. They should ALL be fired or sent back to get in shape and trained so they can do their jobs properly!!
