My children attend this school and it is absolutely amazing! The parent involvement is outstanding, the leadership is much improved, the partnership with LMU is fantastic, and the teachers are the best! We are so proud to be a part of this wonderful model STEM school!
Principal does not listen to genuine concerns. Dr. Mohazab has no decorum regarding student-teacher-parent confidentiality. Kids even sometimes on time out just because they have feelings. It's kindergarten and some kids are scared of her because there is no knowing what might make her frustrated. Then, when parents want to speak with her is is short and also doesn't listen to concerns. And told my child not to tell.me about things that happen in class because my child is not in preschool. Sad sad bad bad. I tried to tell the principal and she said she would take.my concern into consideration. When I explained to her other parents had similar concerns she said she had not heard from them, but some.told me they did tell her. I finally pulled my child out of school. When I asked Dr. Mohazab for my child's left behind art or homework. She said she threw it away. I even experienced some racism while there in the front office. And I saw the racist and prejudiced attitudes also... Again. Sad. When I called the office to get transcripts tbe lady said it would take a week. The school my daughter goes to now I can get a any info in a day or two.
The school name on the map is incorrect! This is Playa Vista Elementary School, a public school that is part of the LAUSD System and serves as a laboratory for science and math development - Playa del Rey is a different community, with a different zip code
