I left my MacBook at the TSA security check at the airport. And later found it on the claims website, I filed a claim and waited a couple of weeks but never got a response. So I went into the office and was able to pick it up with no hassle - just make sure you have your claim number, and any way to prove that the item is yours. Unfortunately the airport has thousands of items lost, and this system seems quite inefficient. I hope this review will help anyone else in finding their lost item.

I filed a claim. My item was found. They won’t respond to me. What’s the point? Why don’t they just call it lost? When I call the police station they say they don’t work in lost and found and can’t help me. I asked who I can talk to they said nobody and hang up.

Found my item in their website. Waiting for their confirmation on my claim. Not sure about the next step. More updates: I flew to LAX and went to their office. It took only 10mins to get my item back. Carry an ID and any supporting document or details. Officers were supportive. I did ask if they need any help with expediting follow ups with claimed items. There response was that they are already aware of the issue and working with the website developers to fix the issue. They get thousands of claims and find to keep up with responding. However, officer confirmed that all claims are eventually looked at and none of the items are trashed if claimed via website.

I lost a backpack in the airport while returning home. I filed a report, I checked the website a couple days after and saw the item was found. The airport posts items they have located. I then filed a CLAIM file on my specific item. I have not heard back from anyone since. I’ve called the number on the website and apparently it is a police station that does not deal with the lost and found items. There also is no phone number for them as they only reply through their online service ..... 2 months later and it’s clear they do not respond through that outlet either. I’ve spent over $300 replacing something in that backpack that is not lost but just the cause of them not doing their job. Keep up the great work ud83dudc4dud83cudffe.

Left my iPad in the stupid security bin so filed a claim online. I did receive a couple of emails about it saying they were working on it, but then just decided to go in and see if I could get it easier that way and I did! I filled out a claim when I got there and it took about 10 minutes for the officer to find it! Thank you so much!
