The kids there are very mean but the teachers are nice.

Really small school, awesome teachers. Everyone talked about this elementary, which is a big reason I moved into this area. Really small elementary, feels like a private school. My child has been going there for two and a half years, and I couldn't be happier.

Amazing staff wonderful facilities. As a former student and a parent of two students,I can say with certainty that this elementary school is top notch .The school has won state recognized awards several years in a row.

I taught 4th Grade at Quailwood Elementary around 1986 when I was working as a substitute teacher. What impressed me the most was that all the students had their desks in a circle facing in to the center of the circle so that every student would be facing other students. I was perhaps the only male teacher there. I loved the students and wish I had been able to continue teaching there for a long period of time because I love being around well behaved children. The social interaction among the students was great. Perhaps the school is even better now, 2012, than it was 26 years ago. I'm working on a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at the California State University, Bakersfield; I hope to be a Marriage and Family Therapist. Every school has at least a few students who may need some help dealing with family problems. In a class of about 30 students there was only one student who seemed to be depressed. Everybody else was either happy or at least not in apparent emotional distress. There was not a single angry or unhappy teacher at this school from what I saw. In 1986 I was planning to teach a single subject (Mathematics) to 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. As a result of my experience teaching 4th grade at Quailwood Elementary and high school English at South High and McFarland High in Kern County, California, I decided in 2012 to get my teaching credential in Multiple Subjects and teach Special Education in K through 6 (Kindergarten through 6th Grade, students in the age range of 5 years through 11 years. Blessings to all teachers and students.
