Unfortunately we couldn't go inside. But it was still fun to walk around outside and see the history

This place is super cool if you like history and old stuff. Even our five-year-old got into it. They had a little scavenger hunt for her to dig into, and she had a good time imagining where she would sleep in a tiny cabin. This was a pleasant surprise and a worthwhile stop.

Fun, free museum with artifacts from the Winthrop area's mining and agricultural history. Donations are appreciated. The indoor displays are closed after October 1st, and reopen in the spring. Plan on spending 30 minutes - 1 hour to see everything.

This is a great spot to see how the west was started and the hard way of life the settlers had to endure. Lots to see with many of the original buildings. Donation only for entrance. There is a drinking fountain on site. Two minutes from downtown and well worth it

Incredibly fun. Detailed personal stories of so many items and a lot of fun and witty placards. Most of the items came from local families so the stories of the items are wonderful to read.
