Great kids, great families. Great school. Feel fortunate to live in this area so our children are able to attend. Fantastic Principle!

Mrs. Calbeck and all of the teachers do a remarkable job. You will see them working all hours of the week and weekends working on campus. The on site YMCA and off site care days have waiting lists you need to plan ahead. On campus and neighborhood parking is limited it helps to live within walking distance of campus. Traffic during drop offs and picks up can be challenge. For summer care, either sign up with a local daycare or reach out to Palmer School near Pleasant Hill Bart station. They have a great summer program with a onsite swimming pool. Your kid will come home so tired from summer school they won't move from the sofa for hours.

Great school and staff. Parking/ traffic can be tricky, but you get used to it.

Mrs. Calbeck is the most phenomenal principal in existence. I've been on committees with her, watched her spend every Saturday at the school preparing for the week ahead, spending her own money to further our school! She is ALWAYS loving, kind, respectful in a way that inspires, and has always known the name of each and every student in her school. It is impossible to please each and every parent and student. Parents can be extremely insensitive to school staff when 'dis-pleased'. One needs to look at the big picture and recognize that Valhalla and their supporting staff and most of all Mrs Calbeck are under CONSTANT attack, pressure, budget cuts, stress and entirely under paid yet still maintain the highest standards out there and get an extremely great job done -daily!nI cannot thank Valhalla enough and all who make that school the fairy tale village community school it really is. I truly love Valhalla!! : )
