My experience with the Benicia PD has been great so far. They keep this community feeling safe with their professionalism and ownership, thanks to our Police Department.
Benicia police can lie about you and label you dangerous and get away with it! They can ruin your life. Beware, they have too much immunity and use it well. The justice system is another tool that is used to protect them as well as our own City Representatives. It's appalling! Their motto should be, Happiness is a Warm Gun, note the gun practice picture they're using!nnThey can lie to you if you get interrogated; always ask for a lawyer. If they keep asking you questions after that, continue to ask for a lawyer. Don't let them fool you. Also, they cannot search your car without your permission. If you give them permission thinking it will help you, they will use any little tidbit they find against you that will fit their exaggerated story. ALWAYS KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
Granted Benicia doesn't have a ton of crime. You know why? Because the officers here are on it. We border Vallejo and yet we dont have to live in fear. Watch the company you keep and do not lie. They are mostly fair, know your rights and thank them. They really are just trying to keep the peace. To do so they have to air on the side of caution.
Issues in town and they always react. I walk a lot and feel safe.
I honestly thought the job of every policeman was to protect and serve yet again they failed to meet the very simple basic needs of the career path in which they have chosen. I’m not so sure about you guys but it’s very scary knowing that a person with a badge and a gun and an attitude running into them at wrong place at the wrong time could be life-changing forever. With that stated shut this station down for all the wrong they have caused lives they have damaged and people they have hurt because they clearly won’t honor the oath they were so quick to take and could care less about anyone outside of there precinct . My first time ever visiting California they pulled me my wife and daughter over on the interstate and searched us because they said we was driving suspiciously but I was honestly driving slow because my gps was giving me trouble and they then proceeded to search my car standing me my wife and 8 month old daughter in the rain no umbrella no my baby and wife can’t sit in the car no nothing and we all ended up sick search came up dry and they sent us on our way no directions or anything just pulled us over in the pouring ran and harassed us even had smirks on there face in the process. For this reason alone I have yet to come back to California period :( something must be done !
