Who knew that when SIP started it would last the rest of the school year? Fortunately, both my children (K and 2nd) still received daily assignments and continued to be engaged the remainder of the school year. For K, the class was broken into small groups for twice a week Zoom calls and once a week for a whole class call. For 2nd, the teacher posted the assignments in Google Classroom every day and met with small groups daily.nIt was not ideal. I’m not a teacher and my youngest was not excited to be doing schoolwork at home. However, my eldest had no issues and was able to stay on top of her learning. In addition to their traditional workbooks, both kids used Lexia for reading and Mathletics for math. Additionally, K utilized Scholastic’s site.nWhile we are anxious and hopeful to return, the school is prepared to continue with distance learning. I don’t think there’s another school I’d rather be in, especially during these unprecedented times.

My twins are in TK at St. Michael School. They are THRIVING! St. Michael School provides the perfect blend of education, community, and religion. St. Michael School provides a safe learning environment for all students. The school is filled with teachers and staff who Are welcoming and caring to all students and families. The low student to teacher ratio provides students more one-on-one learning time. They also have an incredible fine motor skills program for the young ones and a standards based Physical Education program for all grade levels- including TK. I am a public school teacher and I would recommend St. Michael School to everyone- the level of commitment that the teachers and the school as a whole have to making their students succeed is unmatchable.

I have been a parent at the school since 2002. My two older children attended Kindergarten - 8th grade, and my youngest is currently in 5th. While many schools see a child as a commodity or a dollar sign, St. Michael shows every child that he or she is a person deserving of dignity no matter where he or she is his or her learning. The teachers really care about their students, while maintaining academic rigor. We truly feel that the whole child is educated at SMS. Catholic school is the way to go!

We have both our children in SMS and they are thriving. We love the small class sizes and have had very positive experiences with teachers.

Our son is in the second grade and has been there since TK. TK teacher Mrs. Lessard is awesome after our the orientation with Mrs. Lessard we enrolled the next day. Kindergarten was another great experience. 1st grade was an adjustment but that was when the structure starts along with homework. Second grade is awesome. Mrs Hom communicates really well makes school fun but holds kids responsible. I like the smaller class when our son needs help we can address it right away. I have attended Catholic school 1st-6th and Catholic education in my opinion is a lot better. A lot of the stereotypes you hear about at catholic schools do not exist here at St. Michaels.
