Every interaction with the Piedmont police department has been outstanding. They are a small town police department that feel a part of the community. They are friendly, competent, caring and prompt.nnI had an experience with my daughter where she was across the st at school, the police officer saw she was having a melt down and came over to talk with her. He was so friendly and patient.nnThis police department is where you want them to be. They are often at the entrance to the town making sure things are safe and they attend public events making sure things are safe. They just give you the feeling they are there to serve.

Police in piedmont are so bored that they will randomly stop anyone walking at night to ask what they're doing. Was stopped yesterday by a white dude with my friends for walking while eating chips and cookies. Ridiculous threatening cavemen, army of the greedy rich people in the bay area

Was Illegally stopped the night of October 30th, 2016. I was literally walking on the sidewalk listening to my headphones three blocks from my home. They claimed that i fit a description of a suspicious person and questioned me without probable cause for close to 20 minutes before i was allowed to leave. Totally incompetent, hope someone sees this and looks further into them, wouldn't be surprised if illegal stops is part of their day to day protocol.
