Rappahannock Regional Jail

Uber driver was very rude. Handcuffed me on the way there. Would not recommend staying here. Staff are pushy and demanding.

I can't believe how horrible this facility really is. Its just awful. I understand its a prison but come on now, also the staff are completely ridiculous. How they handle food, mail, and visits needs to be under evaluation.

I used to be on the Free Fred wave, but he said jail was the best thing that ever happened to him. 10/10 would trespass after being explicitly told not to again

I was in this jail for two months, Yes, I did break the law and deserved to be punished. Jail is not supposed to be luxurious or accommodating to comfort whatsoever. This I also understand. I was being punished but also trying to do my best to ensure I wouldn’t return. That being said.. You get fed at 4 a.m. for breakfast, 11:00 am for lunch 4:20 pm for dinner. Between dinner and breakfast is 12 solid hours. You know I could deal with that but, you get more on a kid cuisine tray. I lost 20 lbs there. And again I don’t expect special treatment I know “I’m in jail”but at least treat me like I’m a human. A simple request warrants a request form. Something as simple as a bible. Request form. That’s all good I can understand that. Organization. Logistics. But when it takes TWO weeks to get an answer, it makes you feel even more inadequate that you already do. The “GOLD BADGES” (top brass) run the jail for the most part and I met a few that were very professional and very dedicated to doing their jobs with class and respect. On the other hand... there were even more that treat you like swine. They literally walk around like the gestapo. Very rude and extremely disrespectful and condescending even when I was respectful to them. The van drivers that transported you to court etc. we’re the best. ROBINSON. He is very respectful and professional.
