Kings Park Elementary School

Great public school. Fairfax County Public Schools are among best in the nation.

I understand this is a public school, however there is absolutely no excuse for the unprofessional behavior from the administrative staff. Counselor Pangelinan discriminates against many of the children just because of their race. Principal Lin and Assisitant Principal Hawk are very rude and do not know like to find solutions when there are problems. Instead they prefer to get rid of the problem by any means necessary so they no longer have to deal with it. They are absolutely no help to parents or students. I hope this review helps them become better in their roles to help children succeed. By the way many of the teachers are excellent at what they do.

My son has a behavioral emotional behaviors and this school has Not helped in anyway to help my son but to change him s d suspend him even when he has done nothing wrong. School tells my son he will go to jail and that police will be called for God sakes my son is only five years old. Mr. Hawk who should not be anywhere near children because he is not a child friendly person at all. I am not speaking in anger I am mostly disappointed in the treatment that my beautiful child is getting in kings park when all he needs is love and support from the adults that are in his life.nI honestly don't understand why my son has been suspended from school twice in one week and 14 times since school has started. This past time was unnecessary since he was not a danger to anyone he didn't hurt anyone.nPlus why not let him get on the kindercare bus why tell them that my son was already gone when he wasn't. This is not acceptable at all. Kindercare actually works with my son and he has never had an episode there. I was at work and had no way to pick my son up when he has kindercare to come get him. I had to ask his therapist for an emergency pick up. No idea why Mr. Hawk was sooo upset even with the therapist. He didn't even know who he was or even bothered to ask. Your suppose to provide in house suspension or send someone home to teach him from home. No one has spoken to me about this except for his doctors and the board of education. You are with my son everyday yet you provide me with nothing except the easy way out of just suspending my son. Every child isn't going to be perfect. You should always be there for your students and you never give. You guys have officially given up and it's an embarrassment for your school. I will be posting up a petition letting every parent know the struggle I have had with this school that had given me zero support for my son since day one except to just get rid of him.nThank you for your non help.nSincerely Rosa
