Owing a second home can sometimes be challenging when trying to work on major improvements and scheduling contractors. We contacted Luke, from A&L Heating and Cooling Home Improvements, to discuss installing central air in our Cape home. He arrived promptly at our chosen date and time to give us an estimate for installation. Luke quickly walked through our home, listened to what we wanted – we wanted our unit installed in the attic with ducts though some second-floor closets to supply the first floor. Without taking too many notes and measurements he gave his suggestions and said we would receive an estimate shortly. We had two other larger companies giving us estimates also that same weekend. We received our estimate from Luke first, while the other two companies provided theirs later in the week. We continued our conversation with Luke on equipment and decided to give him the contract not only because his price was more reasonable than the other two companies, but because he promptly responded to us as promised.nLuke arrived with his crew on the agreed date and the installers, Mark and Junior, were there for four days. The installation was flawless and the installers were friendly and knowledgeable.nWe are very pleased with our central air system, with the work of the installers, and with Luke’s attention to our questions and concerns. Luke and his team were very responsive to my needs. I had an existing gas boiler that had failed twice in a matter of a weeks time so replacement was a priority. I contacted several heating contractors and A&L was the first to respond with a site visit, estimate, and willingness to perform the install on a priority basis that same week. With more time, I might have been able to do a little better on price but time was of the essence and paying a little premium for getting immediate response was worth it. There were a couple of glitches with the install but all in all Luke stuck with the project, got it done in time for us to host planned family for the Thanksgiving holiday, a real plus.nnThis is the second project I have had A&L perform at my home. They also installed a mini split heat pump system a year earlier. I would not hesitate to recommend A&L for your heating and cooling needs. They also took care of all the paperwork and filing of rebates with MassSave. Great service all around.
