Embassy Suites by Hilton Lexington/UK Coldstream

We found this Embassy Suites to be very well run and comfortable. The location made it easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. It is dog friendly and has nice, grassy areas to work their energy out. The Coldstream Park Trail and dog park was a bonus. The included breakfast buffet was great and well attended. We would like to come back!

Breakfast was very good, and we loved Bernard (the guy who made our omelettes). He was a hoot. But the room was very dated and looked like it had been abused. Best part - there was a glob of toothpaste in the sink when we got there, and the toilet seat was loose. Next morning, I poured cream in my coffee and it curdled. After we left, we found out there was a $10 parking fee..... where else were we to park, but in the hotel parking lot? Ridiculous! We paid more for this room than the night before for an old historic hotel that was so much nicer, and in a much better location.

We were there for a shoe convention. Didn't actually stay, but the staff was very well mannered and helpful. Has a very beautiful lobby area, glass elevators. Food was well prepared and readily available. Could have sat in the lobby with all the water falls all day. Very serene and welcoming.

The hotel is just beautiful! The rooms are spacious. The air conditioning could work a little better. The breakfast is amazing cooked to order by a talented chef.

Very nice hotel!! Rooms are a little dated but fairly clean. Staff was very helpful. Only reason i did not give 5 stars was the mattress was awful. Back hurt for 2 days after sleeping there 1 night.
