Ellensburg Police Department

PSA if you find a wallet do not return it to the EPD! The officer was trying to be helpful but I've just had to run around. Played phone tag for hours and my wallet ended up in evidence. I now have to make an APPOINTMENT to get my wallet.... If you find a wallet bring it to the nearest business or try to find the person on social media. Its 2019 people, come on.

I was connected to a super RUDE woman today when all I wanted to do was file a quick report for my sons missing wallet! First of all she was snotty when asking me how old my son was (which I feel is NONE of her business) and second of all she WOULDNT even let me report it because she needed his information!!!! What!?!? Are you kidding me!?! What in the hell do you think is in a wallet that is lost and second of all don’t you think his mother would know??? I felt like she just didn’t want to deal with the report but whatever! He had classes all day at the college and asked me to do it for him because he wouldn’t get out before 5pm! She told me to have him call even though I tried to explain but she quickly cut me off to end the call! NOT PROFESSIONAL ELLENSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT!!! Thought you guys were here to help people not brush them off and push them away! I sure wish I had her name...

They are a wonderful needed part of the community that are here to protect and serve. Thank you for all you do and put up with! More people need to review to counter these people nagging on because they had one bad experience. If only they could walk a month in a police officer's shoes they'd have a different story.

I was called out of my nutrition class and handcuffed by Officer King today. I told him it was without my consent and that it'd cause me immense distress to be away. Didn't matter to him, and I got a free ride to a mental health counselor. My hand is pretty roughed up, and it was embarrassing to be hauled off in cuffs in front of my classmates, employer, professor, and friends, all because the police received an embellished call from my lab tech. To the department, please don't do such hurtful things because of students' fleeting ideation or at the whims of lab techs.nThis was my first experience with hostility in Ellensburg. I hope this is rare.

I like how all the bad reviews are from people that had to be arrested, or would't give police the information they needed to do their jobs.
