When we first sat on the train which has air conditioning, the one who served in our train seems very welcome everyone. But later on, her attitude showed that she is not very welcome the little kids. My 2 year old boy likes to sing. He sings a lot during the day. But when she was talking to every body, she just want to stop my boy singing and her face just looked unhappy. That's why I just rate 3 stars.
Very much enjoyable. A must for tourists.
If you get the opportunity to have Kathy (with a K) be your Passenger Service Attendant, you are one lucky person! Kathy is the warmest, sweetest person you could hope for. She made our train ride so enjoyable and her passion for her job is evident!nnYou'll notice Kathy (with a K) right away as you walk along the train as she will be the one who is greeting each and every passenger with a warm smile and friendly conversation. The other PSAs are just 'doing their jobs.'nnAnd, Kathy (with a K) loves, loves, loves to tell jokes so have some ready for her.
We didn't have a great time. Even with a AAA discount, it was incredibly expensive! Then, to make it even worse, the room we stayed in was beautiful, but there was black, long hairs all over the bathroom floor. When we came back from dinner we wanted to use the coffee station in the room, only there was no coffee or cups or condiments. I called the front desk and was told they would bring it right up. An hour and a half later the cups and coffee did arrive but no condiments. Then while unpacking, I noticed I had forgotten my toothbrush, I called downstairs, apologizing for bothering them once again and asked if they had a toothbrush to which i was told, no you can go over the dollar general and get one as they are still open. Unbelievable! This has only happened to me one other time and the hotel we were at gladly had them available at the front desk, but not here. Then, of course, being July, we had the air conditioning on in the room. But every hour on the hour it shut off and we would wake up because it was so hot and have to turn it on again. We were so tired the next day and had to be up and checked out by 8:45 a.m. to get to the train. All we can say is, they got us...once. We won't be back and neither will anyone I can chat with about this place.
Had a great trip on Monday 4-9-18 with a little hostess named Destiny on the Pullman car. She really made the trip a fun one. You guys need to keep her around.
