I have a son that goes to this school. He is in a 3rd grade special needs classroom because of his medical issues. Kyla Mitchell is the principal. She suspended my son from school because a child hit my son first and my son retaliated back. Anyway the other child did Not get suspended from school. To make a long story short, my son will be missing out on his graduation from the 3rd grade to the 4th grade tomorrow (June 1, 2017). Mr. Dan Good if this comment reaches you please contact me. My name is Nena Cole. The school knows me really really well. I've been trying to reach you for a while concerning the issues that I have with Columbus City School District and their transportation. This comment is coming from a parent who is very very firm on my child's education. My son is African/Jamaican/American and the other student is Caucasian. My child's special needs teachers and the principal refused to give me details on the reasons why they suspended my son. The school did NOT write up a 190 slip. I had to get the full story from my child.
