Port Orchard Police Department

So while I was grocery shopping a kid with no driver's license or insurance wrecked into my car and so I called 911 they told me that they could not respond and that it was a civil matter because it was on private property. The girl whose car was next to us came out and even though her car was not injured she called the police and they showed up immediately to pull in front of my car and immediately start harassing me. they violated my rights placed me in handcuffs took my license out of my pocket after I told them not to search me. Then the kid with no license and no insurance was let go and this cop never filed a report for me? He was completely unprofessional and acted like he is not responsible to follow any lawsud83dude21 you can't make this stuff up this was an absolutely ridiculous incident today and I'm going to try to pursue this as far as I can!

On a rainy, cold, and just plain miserable night, my daughter's car doors wouldn't unlock for some reason. After repeated attempts trying to pry open the door without success, we were just about to head home and wait until tomorrow to deal with this situation. I then had a hair-brained idea to drive down to police station to ask if they would be able to help break into my daughter's car, thinking that they probably wouldn't help, but I was pleasantly surprised. One of our friendly police officers followed us up the road and happily help us open her doors in no time at all. He then verified I was the owner of the car and wished us a pleasant evening and went on his way. Probably would have cost us a pretty penny to have a locksmith come out to help us get into her car, but Port Orchard's finest came to the rescue. Thank you!

Wonderful group of guys, even if there is maybe one or two that might not be the greatest, the multitude of wonderful police officers, and their ability and willingness to help in all cases we have had. Very few police officers in the past that have cared. Working late shifts at port orchard 7-11's they were always there checking in on all the open places at night. Graveyards were a lot easier to deal with.nWe have nothing but wonderful things to say at this point living here many years, I saw the 1 star while looking up the number and had to post this for them as they deserve a better review. The amount of interactions they have on a daily basis there is bound to be many unpleasant ones as they enforce the law, however, most pleasant experiences don't lead to reviews, so I try to correct this when I see it.

bureaucratic morons. corrupt system. revenue rangers. lovely building.

My experience with the popd tells me that the people of port orchard are having a grave disservice and there civil rights are being violated as we speak by not only the misinformed court employees but also by some dishonest police officers
