Awful school, seeing is they don't pay attention to their children especially when doing dismissal. How can this be you ask? Well when I arrived at my daughters school she was missing from her dismissal line, as I frantically searched the sea of heads I found her walking off with two girls her age (age 5) they were BRINGING HER HOME (five blocks over busy streets). When we called the school they brushed it off and told us that between getting in line in class and the exit doors my daughter got lost. Imagine our surprise to hear that they clearly had a lack of supervision that my daughter was allowed to leave unseen from anyone.

My daughter went to Wilson School from K-5. I didn't expect much since this is listed as a Title 1 school and kids don't always do well on the state wide tests. But my daughter excelled and placed average or higher when compared to other students in the state.nnThe teachers seem very attentive and are more than willing to contact me if and when my daughter is having difficulties. I learned from one teacher that she never has a full class and it is not uncommon to have 10 kids absent on any given day. The problem is not the school or the teachers, but rather the parents.nnI have also have a foster child attending this school and find the same attentive teachers in his classes. The support staff is great as well and even the crossing guards are nice.
