Great exhibits & helpful rangers. You can see inside an old school house and outhouse an look for your ancestors' homestead records!!!
Great place to show kids the sacrifices of the early Nebraskans.
Mosquitoes ran us out of the trails. But beautiful park and area besides that.
Nice how they try to represent all the different perspectives.
We weren't sure if it would be worth the trip out of our way, but I wanted the stamp for my NP Passport. It was absolutely our favorite National Monument so far. All three sites (new center, original center, and schoolhouse) were well kept and well staffed. There we're many short videos and audio guides that kept us all learning and listening. Our 6 year old loved exploring the prairie too. There were many paths to explore and a trail from one visitor center to the other.nnAnd both boys enjoyed becoming junior rangers through their guide book activities. (It was one of the best programs we've done, and we've made it to many parks!) The rangers were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this site. You won't regret it.
