I have been living in the grand rapids area for 3 years. I have tried salons over the west Michigan area and Otto + Grand has been the best experience I've had so far.nI came because my sister Stephanie Torres started working there. Always highly satisfied with her work. Amazing with cuts and color.nThe building itself is really visually appealing. A very Industrial look with great art on the walls.nEverything is really spaced out nicely. And they uphold very good health and safety standards amidst the pandemic.nI got my hair colored green and blue. The hair dye is highly pigmented and left my hair shiny and vibrant.nLove the products they usednEveryone was super friendly and the stylists all supported each other which was cool to see.nI would highly recommend otto+Grand to anyone who wants a professional experience and an amazing new style.nThanks again

I have gone to this salon a few times. If I am grading based on my services with Jaclyn, this salon is great and would receive 5 stars. A bit on the pricey side, but she does excellent work and I always left feeling like a goddess. However, I had one time where my stylist(I believe it was Taylor), took over 6 hrs to highlight and cut my hair. She also started at the bottom of my hair and worked her way to the top. She stopped half way through for her lunch break, which is fine, I get it, everyone’s gotta eat, but you should also offer the same courtesy to your client who has been patiently waiting to eat or drink something in their chair all morning. It was extremely rude, and I should have been told upfront that my service would be that long. She also charged me for the extra time, which I didn’t feel was fair as my services normally never take that long, so it must have been the stylists pace that was the difference (it usually is about 3 hrs to do my hair). My color also looked no different from when I walked in, since she had started at the bottom and then toned everything too dark. I had to cancel all my plans for the day, and I didn’t eat anything that day until 4 pm because she took so long. I left angry and out $300.

Taylor is my go-to stylist! Very efficient, personable and creative! Made me feel very comfortable, in such a fun setting. Can’t wait to schedule with her again!

Cat is the most amazing hair wizard!! Beyond knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the health of the hair! I feel like I was finally listened too, and got exactly what I asked for! I can’t wait to keep going to cat for the rest of forever

I haven’t had my hair professionally done in years! As a result of covid shutting down about everything- I did some coloring/bleaching myself at home. I went in today to correct the color I had, and get a cut. Alex was very patient with me and was able to bring my vision to life! From a faded mess, he made my hair a stunning red with beautiful dimension and I am over the moon. It feels and looks so healthy again! I definitely recommend Alex’s talent and this salon!
