Did not go Chester on Wednesday I don't know why the map says I did need to correct it
Great little tourist stop. Amazing view of the Mississippi river and bridge here. Fun to find all the other Popeye statues around town.
Nice little park, had some historical information around and a neat view. The only thing was the info center was closed i guess because of covid.
A really cool place, especially if you like history. There's info about Popeye and his creator, Lewis & Clark's expedition, the Chester Bridge and the town of Chester, Illinois. The statue of Popeye is really neat and there are many other statues of Popeye characters set up around the town of Chester.
Haven't seen this place in 30 years the add on of restaurant was nice even though it was closed due to the virus
