It was good really clean and the staff was great.
With all the dining choices at this casino I am very sorry that we picked the buffet. The staff was the only positive thing about the meal. They ran out of tender loin beef (we were there at6:00) and in its place had turkey and sausage. Considering the price we paid, I didn’t think that turkey was a good substitute. The salad bar was sparse and very picked over. You could have Chinese food or some seafood that tasted like it had been sitting around too long. The deserts were not much better and the person who was scooping the ice cream was obviously not very happy to be doing this task. Our server was very nice and attentive and again the only reason I gave 2 stars. Sorry to say... stay away
This is a must do if out and looking for a great dining experience. Hollywood Casino is has a lot to offer and the buffet is one of them. I'm not I can't love myself but I love coming out here for the great restaurants. They have great pastry shops there as well.
Eat Up Buffet at Hollywood Casino is the best casino buffet in the St. Louis area. There are a multitude of well prepared, tasty dishes to choose from. No other buffet in the area can compare. Come hungry and enjoy!
The buffet was shockingly good. I eat at a great deal of restaurants but had not been to Hollywood's buffet since their ownership changed and they became pinnacle. Ameristar used to be the gold star of buffets and since they have new ownership of boyd gaming they absolutely have lost that spot. I believe that spot now goes to Hollywood. The food was hot and presented well. It tasted great and they had a number of choices. My only criticism is. They need to do better in their choices of deserts. Few choices and not tasty at all.
