Loved this little zoo. The staff was awesome! They answered all the kids questions and had all sorts of neat facts. The kids loved getting up close and personal and I think they had the best time with the birds and kangaroos. I will definitely make it back to visit and maybe try and feed a big cat or bear. Worth it and I feel good about supporting the local family.
We enjoyed our time. The prices were great! We got food to feed the animals while we walked through the park which the kids thoroughly enjoyed! There were goats, chickens and peacocks walking around the zoo!nnWe got tokens to be able to feed the giraffes. Not pricey like other zoos. Lots of animal babies walking around. It wasn't busy at all which was nice for small kiddos to walk and not be rushed.nnAll of these animals looked happy and healthy! My favorite was the tortoises!
Love this zoo! Every time we visit there are new animals, improvements to enclosures, and fun things to do! My kids love the chance to pet and play with goats and chickens and the encounters get you up close and personal with animals like the sloth, kangaroos, lion, and bear! Very knowledgeable, friendly staff who are passionate about taking care of the animals. Wonderful place to visit any time you are near the Panhandle!
This place is a gem! A great place to take the kids. Cost is very reasonable! The grounds are kept very nicely and the animal pens were clean. We were able to feed many animals here and the staff was friendly. I thought it was a petting zoo with a few barn animals...but it is so much more than that. We had a great time and it doesn't break the bank. They deserve your business and all animal lovers will have a great time!
We highly recommend Emerald Coast Zoo! We visited on March 20, 2021 and had a great time! We did the Lion/Tiger, Kangaroo, and Bear Encounter and loved them all! The animals are very beautiful, happy, and well taken care of. Angel is an amazing zookeeper with an undeniable passion for these animals. She was patient, kind, and extremely Informative! Steve helped us feed the kangaroos milk and answered every question we had about these beautiful creatures. He knew everything there was to know about kangaroos and shared an obvious love for the animals. I do recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and lunch, as there are very limited options for food/drink. Overall, 5 stars!
