The Colbert county Animal control/Shelter has really been a lifesaver.... I have 8 puppies that needed a Good home. The shelter has placed them in there rescue program. So now they can be adopted out to good families. They are also a NO KILL shelter now. Fostered a beautiful red Pitbull from here. They all genuinely care for the animals that come in very helpful when you need them. I'll go to them anytime I need a new pet friend.

Nobody showed us the animals. Only a handful that you could touch. Most were contagious or contained for investigations

We visited the Colbert County Animal Shelter for the first time last week looking to adopt a black kitten. For $25 (which we thought was an incredibly low price) we found exactly what we were looking for. The adoption fee covers the cat's shots and the procedure to have her spayed. The team working at this location was so helpful and friendly. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are looking to adopt a pet in the shoals area I can't say enough great things about this location and their super-helpful staff. Thanks!
