I admit that I took my son here for a visit on Thanksgiving day, and that they were closed. But, we got to get some pictures of the tractor, caboose and railroad stuff. Not sure what's inside, but right outside the door is the old style pump they would use in the old days to get water out the ground. If there is this much neat items on the outside, then imagine what's inside. Guess I'll have to make another visit on another day.

What a let down. Checked online for hours, then headed out to find that they close for the entire holiday season. Not a word on the website about this, so was very disappointed. I had been told its a real neat museum but we we're not able to verify that. So thumbs down for lack of letting public know the holiday hours or lack of.

Very educational.lots of history you no longer read about....I highly recommend for the younger generation so they can learn from the past to make a better future for all.....

This museum is so rich in the history of West Texas. The native Indian program on display, the special interest tours that the curator brings in, and the romantism of the Wild West is yours for the unfolding,.the room full of old toys will delight young and old children who are young at heart.. those interested in military history will find some artifacts quite unusual. Even an old caboose that sits in the back will play on your curiosity.

Small but outstanding museum about the local history, especially the mamut artefacts were impressive...really worth to pay a visit
