I went in to purchase a replacement set of suspenders for my grandpa. Mccoys sells his favorite kind, and he has repurchased many times over the years at another Mccoys location. I checked the Taylor store, but did not see any. I asked the cashier Sherry if they might be somewhere else in the store. She looked and found the slot for them, but they were sold out. She checked on the computer and 2 were in stock, but had not made it out of the freight bins just yet. She certainly didn't have to, but she dug through those bins until she found the suspenders. Sherry was so kind, and went way above and beyond. It was a huge deal to my grandpa, and made his day. We appreciate her time and kindness, and wish more people were like her.

I needed a few things and I was surprised I found everything I was looking for. I tend to go to Lowe’s because I am able to use my military discount and they have a larger selection, but this location was closer to me and I was hopeful I wouldn’t have to go to Hutto to get what I needed. The prices were good and the employee’s asked me many times if I needed assistance finding anything. They offered a few times to help me load as well, but I like to do things myself. Overall great experience.

I gave up on shopping here since the service at the front checkout area has been so bad. Unfriendly and unhappy people are a reflection of the work environment. There is an older fellow at the projects desk that is always friendly and helpful. God bless him! Moss and Moss Hardware is a good alternative in the Taylor area. Lowes and Home Depot in Hutto are good options for things you can’t find. I try to do business locally but gave up at McCoy’s.
