I am convinced that this Whataburger is a staple of the Venus community. Thus, I have to admit of the more than dozen times I have gone, I have only had 1 bad experience. That was because the cinnamon roll I got was cold in the center. Usually they are epic. However, it must be noted that I have been there over a dozen times. The food is always up to par (minus the one cinnamon roll). Yes its a burger spot, but its a Whataburger. I've eaten the chicken strips, Standard whataburgers, and chicken sandwiches both grilled and breaded. The gravy is equivalent of awesome sauce, the chicken has always been cooked to a point of nice and juicy. The staff has always been friendly, I have no complaints about this place even with the 1 bad experience, because let's face it this isn't a Michelin star establishment. However, it is worth the money for good food at a decent price that makes for an easy dinner cleanup.

I was very impressed with this location. They explained why they could not mix 2 flavors of milkshakes,so that was fine. Then the computer had problems, so the order taker walked out to my car without holding up the line and confirmed my order from memory and got it correct. And they were still fast and friendly.

Are you hungering for a Hearty, Delicious Burger? This is the place to be. Whatta burger is my personal choice for their Burger selections and fish meal. Try this affordable, tasty fast food in Alvarado, Texas. You won't regret it.

Employees are very nice and the food always comes out great. Yes it can be slow at times but they seem to be understaffed. The employees always try and make sure everything comes out fresh and are trying their hardest at speed.

This place is super slow… The last time I waited and waited and I ended up driving out of the drive-through and leaving without my food because it took so long. I also hear that this location is not very clean; I have not confirmed this with my own eyes but considering what I can see through the windows, it doesn’t look to be very clean. These people simply need to enforce quality control, employ a responsible manager, keep the entire restaurant clean, and most importantly they need to hire more staff [or more capable staff] to allow for a normal wait time at the drive-through.nnFor Whataburger in general, I have witnessed a severe downgrade in quality at many different locations throughout North Texas… I actually stopped eating Whataburger in North Texas because of it. South Texas still has respectable Whataburgers, but in North Texas to me it’s all now a huge joke, downsized, cheaper quality, and definitely not worth our time. Whataburger used to be an exception to fast food, but now, it’s just as bad as all the junk that we have out there these days.. I recommend everyone stop eating junk food — it’s poison! Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out Burger, and Golden Chick are the ONLY fast food joints that I will ever consider consuming when in a pinch (traveling).
