Being from a law enforcement family, I know how dangerous traffic stops can be. Early last Sunday morning on I35, I sped up briefly to avoid another driver who was pacing me. The other driver suddenly backed off when I saw the reason why... flashing lights in my rear view. The professional & compassionate officer who stopped me not only resembled perhaps a younger version of my deceased police detective husband; but more importantly understood my situation, & helped me develop a better plan next time this problem occurs. Since I have to make these trips past Itasca almost weekly now (& have not had a ticket or accident in decades), I sincerely appreciate the courtesy of this officer, who is an outstandingly representative for your department. Set on 35 and collect fee's for people going 1 mile over the speed limit.....sad that they have to resort to this rather than patrolling the actual city where their citizens live.

If you feel you were wronged submit a complaint to the texas attorney general, if enough are filed it can make a difference!
