Edmonds Police Department

Friendly officers and usually quick to respond to non-emergency situations. They'll come talk to you if you flag them down. As a c-store employee, it's nice to have a police presence in the area.

They don't do much. They don't bother to enforce parking laws. So, people in the area routinely park in disabled spaces who are not disabled. It's illegal to use fireworks except on the 4th. However, people around here constantly are firing off high powered fire works. The police do nothing. You car gets broken into. The cops do nothing. Probably should just completely get rid of this Police department. It's useless. Let Snohomish County serve the area. They are useless too, but why pay for two useless redundant police departments?

While I have to admit I've had some good dealings and not-so-good dealings with the Edmonds PD, as a whole I support their efforts and thank them for their service.

A female police officer repeatedly keeps giving me tickets for having expired tabs. I can’t pay for new ones because they cost over $300. At this point it’s become harassment/targeting. If you keep giving me tickets, how do you think I’m ever going to be able to pay for new tabs?

Police officer arrived after I had called in to report property damage (I would elaborate but for the sake of anonymity I will leave it at that but believe me, not a minor one). He seemed annoyed and acted as though I was wasting his time while being courteous to the person at fault. He even proceeded to handle the damaged property without caution and when I asked him to be more careful, he told me to leave him to do his job. I would like to see how he would react under the same circumstances especially on his day off. I know the entire Edmonds PD isn't like this but this was a rotten apple and left a bad taste in my mouth.
