The town is very friendly, Museum is so cool and very interesting. Make sure you take the squad car experience as well. Any questions you have...ask!! This is our second time to the town and museum. The price is PERFECT, you can’t beat $6.00 OR $8.00 for video. We stayed at Andy Griffith childhood home and it was quite the experience!! Waking up having coffee and watching all the DVD seasons .. feels like he is right there with you at heart.. love Mt. Airy
If you are a fan of the Andy Griffith show you will enjoy the museum. It takes about an hour and it is not real big but it is extremely satisfying. We also took the squad car tour and enjoyed it very much.yhid was a great way to spend a day in this small town
I was fortunate to grow up with Andy on TV. This museum was a great place to catch up on memories and on the background story to his shows and movies. If you made it this far to visit Mount Airy, do stroll over here and make the museum part of your trip!

Small but nicely laid out. Lots of fun memories in all of the memorabilia, movie clips and sound tracks. We enjoyed it.
