Great place to go for some great rocks specimens! Doesn't seem like much but this place contains a plethora of gorgeous rocks, fossils, and beautiful crystals. You can also buy some amazing geodes here that they crack for you! Bit to mention free admission ud83dudc40

This is such a hidden “gem”! We spent over an hour here looking through the beautiful displays and cracking our own geodes. Beware, it’s addicting in such a fun way! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and they were doing temperature checks and required hand sanitizer at the door. Highly recommend!

Quite educational community-run museum. Very kind folks here. Almost all of the items presented are lent by separate individuals** which is wonderful & quite generous. Spent quite a while reading the placards and asking the lovely staff/volunteers questions. Love to see it! ud83dudc9e

Such a great little find! My son is a rock hound and this was a great place for us to visit. The volunteers/employees were knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely go back. Make sure to get a geode cracked while you're there!

A hidden gem in Hendersonville. Probably my favorite stop of my entire trip. Aside from the fascinating collection of gems, rocks, minerals, and fossils, you can buy your own unopened Geodes and break them open. Beware though, you might end up spending a lot of money as it's really fun and addictive.nnThe people here are also really nice and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. This is a must-visit if you're in Hendersonville.
