Keep track and record all conversations with their cashier’s and loans. They will not distinguish the two and in fact will never explicitly tell you that they’re two different departments even though they’re grouped together on their website and work in the same area (G3/G4). If you ask for a student balance, ask for it in writing and have them explicitly state that the balance provided is the sole balance due. Otherwise, they make profits off of sending any account balances to debt collectors. They also do not accurately report their loans and balances because they’ll tell billing one thing but tell you a student/borrower/account holder a different thing. The director, Jody Hawks, explicitly lies frequently. She has laughed at students trying to pay off their bill upfront in total. So, be very wary regarding all business with their loans/cashiers office. As a consumer, you deserve to be warned about their negligence and predatory practices.
