I was bullied after paying off my lease and renewed lease. After losing my career due to covid and struggling to pay rent. Gave 60 days notice when asked if I would like to renew. Was given no response. Then a few weeks before my move out date I called to make sure they had gotten it. They said they got it but not in the correct format. Then tried to force me to stay threatening to auto renew my lease. I had to contact an attorney to be sure they couldn't sue my cosigner like they were threatening. After moving because of my sons medical needs and the fact I couldn't afford to stay. ReMax wasted so much of my time I almost wound up homeless and was going to be living in my car. Luckily a nice man in Haughton let us sign a lease 3 days before moving and that worked out. On my move out date ReMax called again trying to bully me and scare me saying if I didn't have the keys to them that afternoon they would charge me another month's rent saying they were working with me. Just what anyone needs trying to move out on their MOVE OUT DATE. More stress. But if you're looking for a small apartment with NO storage space overpriced rent- and landlords who are on a power trip and aim to intimidate. Then this would be the company for you. They will gaslight you and tell you repeatedly how they are trying to work with or help you. Just enough to make you feel helpless and all but tried to force me into being a prisoner when they threatened to auto renew and raise my rent after I had given notice that I would be moving in 60 days which is their requirement. I returned the keys and feel blessed to be away from this major stressful part of my life.

They can’t explain late fees even though I pay on time every month... Crooks!!!

Rented from them twice now. Never again. On both properties there was damage present upon move in and utilities that were broken leaking or not functioning correctly. First property there were scratches on the floor and some of them were made worse during moving yes but charged 500 for the wooden floor in the living room. Water heater kept going out and was over 30 years old they would no replace it, also old pipes burst and was leaking numerous times had to call them out for this multiple times. Over all they charged over 800 for cleaning after cleaners had be hired for this one. Ok no big deal. Trusted them again on a nother property much smaller. Property was severely damaged and had a damaged fridge, dishwasher, and other electrical issues upon move in. Carpets were stained and discolored upon move in. Remax claimed I would not be held liable for preexisting damage. Upon moving out rented carpet cleaner and spent 2 days attempting to clean carpet and preexisting discoloration. It would not lift. Upon receiving refund of deposit. They charged for the carpet being dirty. $150 and also a cleaning fee after having cleaners come again. Another $155 for move out clean. When I left the unit was in better condition then when I arrived. I would never recommend remax.nnWhen work request were put in for the second unit there was never any contact nor workers who came out to even look at the property in the 6 months i resided there. Their roof repair team that was replacing shingles from the tornado put a hole in the roof with a hammer. This was also never repaired or examined.

These people are thieves ... do NOT use them ... locked my son out of online portal .. sent a check thru bill payer as requested now they put eviction notice on door ... about to get an attorney .. charged us NSF fees when our bank shows no attempt to take money out ... very unprofessional... they know kids aren't there due to virus ... we pay on time not our fault their system is flawed... just horrible

Do not recommend!!! My dishwasher has been broken since I moved into the apartment! I filed 3 separate maintenance request and no one has done anything but tell me that I am wrong! I have not been satisfied one bit!
