I worked for Thomaston P.D. in the years ago It was by far the worst police department that I've ever worked for. Both my Lieutenant and Sergeant were caught Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by other police officers in the department. My Lieutenant was charged but refused to give a breath sample, suspending his Georgia Drivers for 6 months. The Chief hired a non sworn person to drive the Lieutenant around while he worked until his license was reinstated. The Sergeant was not officially charged, even though he evaded capture by driving nearly 100 mph from the center of town to the far north edges of the city limits. He was demoted down to a regular officer, but was promoted to an investigator at the same time. In 6 months he was promoted back to Sergeant as an investigator. In any other normal police department both would have been terminated.nnThe quality of service to citizens was terrible because the chief would not educate the officers in proper police officer protocol for dealing with public issues. I hope things have changed since then.

when you call for a police officernIt take 1 to 2 hour to get to younand they are very very ugly to younWASTE of time you can not talk to the chief he is never their on the weekends I wish we did not have a police dept I will let God take care of it on judgement DAY Thomaston police will not
