The new playscape is AH. MAZE. ZING! If you have big or little kids and want an outdoor place to play safely in nature, this is your place! Beautiful art and thoughtfully planned. (Disclosure: completely biased because my husband did all of the wood sculptures.)

We were there for a quick bike ride to try out a new pair of electric bikes. The trail is fully paved with some great shade for summer time.

Nice place with multiple interconnecting trails. Glad that it's so close to Athens. Just watch out for mud after it rains on some of the trails towards the Southern portion and those near the streams.

Wonderful place to walk. Great trails and new educational facilities for children learning about nature.nDon't miss this great gift to Athens!

My son and I were in need of an adventure day and this was amazing. We enjoyed the trails and, especially, the visitor center. I was especially grateful for a large family restroom and fountain to refill water bottles. I was a bit apprehensive about visiting during the pandemic, but the staff did a great job at altering exhibitions to adhere to safety protocols. As a former museum educator, I was quite impressed.nnThe only thing that was a bit off putting was the gift shop. There was a sign limiting entrance to one visitor and only adults. I know that children can be disruptive and the staff was being overly cautious but, as a single parent, I felt unwelcome. It's hard enough to take excursions solo and it this just added to the discomfort. I didn't want to challenge the rules and nobody invited us to shop. Perhaps putting the items out so visitors can browse in a less confined space? I agree it was not a great place for kids, but I hate that we were not permitted to shop.
