Calusa Elementary School

my son loves this school and his teacher ms.dunn is the best she is very helpful and she goes out of her way for the kids in her class. we need more teachers like her in the world

The teachers there for the most part were great! Especially the coached and music teacher! But they do need to see about their hiring standards for some staff members...

I'm so Happy I decided to get my little one in this school for fifth grade. Mr.Leahey and Miss.Wiggins are truly amazing people and teachers. They really care and know how to bring out the best in children. My child went through some awful bullying at fox hollow that had really turned my outgoing little spark of sunshine into an introvert who would only look down at her desk and refused to try and make friends. That was enough for me to act and get her the heck out of there! Well thinking we were now going to be zoned for chasco elementary we went there to learn that calusa was actually our new zone! I went there for kindergarten many moons ago and thought hay maybe this is good. Well it was the best parenting decision about school I have made for the youngest of my three daughters yet! My little girl is doing better grade wise and more importantly she is more secure in herself and has learned how to not only speak up for herself but to make new friends as well! Any time bullying or issues arised that couldn't be handled between the kids it was squashed and or handled appropriately by the teachers or principals if need be. Even the principal helped my little sunny girl and personally called to make sure everything was ok! Mr.Leahy and Mrs.Wiggins you are the miracle makers of this world,after having Mrs.Shipe in kindergarten and first grade I thought we'd never be lucky like that again because a life changing teacher is usually a once in a lifetime experience but we got THREE, bless you guys I am forever indebted and greatful for your service. You are true HEROES and our world is so lucky to have ppl like you in it. I will never forget what you have done for us

Absolutely the best EBD program in Pasco county as well as the best Administration Dept.
