Moda Hair Design

I scheduled a free consultation this past Friday. I arrived at the set time and the front desk person told me the stylist was going to be 25-30 minutes behind my set time. I informed the stylist I wasn’t able to wait because of prior plans and received no response from her. Really disappointed because I wanted to give Moda and her a shot. I drove 1 hour collectively for nothing. As a new potential client, it doesn’t seem like they cared.nn*Follow up: the stylist circled back with me. It was a communication error from the front desk.

I'm really impressed with their staff. Realistic photos help the stylists obviously. I have thick, curly, difficult hair to style and they did an amazing job first try. Best style I've gotten as a new client (sorry Orlando ud83dudc94). It usually takes three or four times before a stylist is really able to give me a cut that I'm happy with. I recently moved to the area and this will definitely be my new go-to spot for hair. Their COVID-19 policy is great. They're doing temperature checks, restrictions on number of people in the building and distance precautions. It's about as safe as we can be inside a salon right now.

I really tried to give this place a chance after going 4 times. My hair stylist was JADE. She has the most nastiest attitude and customer service. I hated going to get my baylage hair touched up every 3 months. I felt uncomfortable and I was always polite and nice and I felt like sh*t. She never spoke to me or offered at least water as she did to her other customers. Everytime she messed up and I would come back, she would greet me with her arms crossed, stank face. My mother has gone to her also and she’s never taken a picture of her hair to post online like she does her other customers. We are her only Latina customers & we felt discriminated. Overall, overpriced, doesn’t get it right until a couple of try’s after telling her exactly what I want she would go and give me grey/silver hair because she would put in a toner when all I wanted was blonde hair! I’ve spoken to the owner Stefano and the in store manager and they all buddy up to defend the employee. Also, it’s such a Highschool girl atmosphere. All you hear is the employees gossip about each other like your client does not want to hear all that stuff when they go in to relax and get their hair done. Go save your money and go else where and find a place that is more professional and actually has good customer service! I’m happy I found someone else where I feel comfortable and satisfied with the service!

I gave this place plenty chances. I would like to say though, my first experience at Moda was great. Leslie, who cut and faded my pixie did a phenomenal job. Keep going girl and leave Moda. Which leads me to explain where it went downhill, second time I went to get a fix on my pixie, Carrie I believed who 'faded' my hair did a terrible job (the photos I inserted is what she did) and I was charged 60 dollars for it. My boyfriend called furious because he was upset about how bad it was, and how much I paid for it. We went back and we were confronted by a man named Stefano, who told my boyfriend to stay outside and told him he was acting 'crazy' for complaining about how bad the hair was. I was very polite and even tried to tip Carrie, she did not even fix the problem fully but I felt bad since im not a confrontational person at all. However now, I am speaking on my mother's behalf since she is the same way as me. My mother went in today to get her extensions fixed and Madalyn, who was assigned to her. Looked at her extensions and threw a tantrum, she stated that she wasn't going to do mom's hair because it was knotted. This is completely unprofessional, this was the appointment she was paying for and the hairdresser complained about doing her job. She also complained loudly in front of other customers to hear and made my mom feel humiliated and uncomfortable. After that, Madelyn left my mom with one extension hanging and went to another customer next to her. My mom then went to the supposed manager, Maria,and expressed her problem. Maria then just stated that its knotted, and went and told my mom she was going to talk to another manager. Why did she have to talk to another manager if she is a manager? My mom is a big tipper and never left under 20% but she had no choice but to leave nothing at this appointment. This establishment is completely unacceptable and completely overpriced. They rely on customers for their business but yet treat their customers like they did something wrong and their employees complain about doing their job. I highly recommend when reading through these reviews, you reflect on this one. Im complaining because I gave this place multiple chances and they screwed all 3. Don't waste your money here. And the only reason I gave two stars is because of Leslie. If it wasn't for her. I would give this place 0 stars. Unbelievable. They gave me a free haircut for my messed up pixie but I threw it away after what I heard from my mom. Never going back.

WOW THIS PLACE IS THE BEST ! SUPER CLEAN AND TRENDY ! MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR MADDY SHE IS GREAT AND WILL BE RETURNING TO SEE HER AGAIN!!!! ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!
