**News Flash** back in the early 90s until 2005 I have parade at a antique store off of 72nd Ave. and dealt everything A To Z. I was fortunate enough, my partner I was an expert in Cuban art and of the hardest in Miami and in Cuba where he was from. There are a lot of talented Cuban artist And some of them over the years become experts at forgery Amelia Palaez, Renae Portacerro, Majares. Lam, The first Cuban artist that I was introduced to was Carlos Alfonzo and p he was very specific who the players were. This was back at 92 just before He passed away and he said he would never touch any of the works that were done on paper by these artists. over the years, actually 15 I eventually met one of these individuals. He specialized in the re-creation of Amelia Palez and Renae Potacerro. His skill was at making the paper old, they were good some of them. The truism is when I asked to buy a Portcerro he said $7000 he was delirious I knew that for sure. So do the public a favor, certificates of authenticity are worthless for Cuban art inwhich most auction houses will only take authentication from someone in Cuba, that is rare. These bogus certificates the people are offering are Worthless.Too many unforeseen customers out there that are willing to pay for a piece of the past, stop ripping them off.
