Amazing! The price is a steal for the amount of knowledge you gain. I would've paid much more. Lovely staff and very interactive. I don't come back to museums that often but definitely revisit Man in the Sea Museum
What a great place for kids! We escaped the beach on a foggy day and explored all this place has to offer! The kids Climbed in and out of vessels, used the air pump, tried on a scuba helmet and ran around getting out energy. The volunteers running the program are extremely friendly! They went above and beyond for our kiddos. There’s even a scavenger hunt complete with prizes. I enjoyed reading about all the artifacts, the history of it is fascinating! Great place for photo ops and cool souvenir t-shirts!
Great opportunity to learn the history of sea exploration. The host has so much excitement for the topic and the future of the museum. Hands on...touch things! A video with more history to pull it together!
Amazing experience! Totally worth your time to watch the 55 minute video before looking around, as it teaches you a lot about what is inside and out. I didn't know anything about SEALAB before coming. Would definitely recommend it!
Negative reviews from last year may have been warranted, but after a hurricane that damaged the building and many exhibits inside, coupled with some trouble staffing volunteers, that would account for their challenges. Rest assured, the new management and board have done a fantastic job getting the building squared away and the exhibits back in working order.nnThe optional 55 minute video started our journey off and gave a lot of context to what we then saw in the displays inside and the big exhibits outside. Jackie and Carl, volunteers and part of the new board, were a delight. First hand knowledge coupled with great personalities made for an awesome experience.nnTake the time to go explore this incredibly interesting part of our maritime and naval history. You will love it and your kids will get a kick out of this very hands-on museum
