Went there to have my wife's I'd renewed. Made an appointment online and this office was the only one available. Had never been to this base before. I am retired navy. Walked in, was greeted courteously. my wife and I sat down and then were called promptly at our appointment time. The petty officer who helped us was friendly, courteous and professional. We were in and out of there in 20 minutes. Great job.
Don’t waste your time at this ID card office.... especially if you are in a crisis like having had your purse stollen. This offices customer service has been gutted over the years due to the cancerous, “Do more with less attitude”. Despite calling ahead to confirm serviceability for an emergency walk-in appointment and being on time for the only extended walk-in day that month, my family was turned away due to a “Slow System” and two people in the room. If this is the type of devotion to duty that is today’s Coast Guard. You have my vote of no confidence.nnLangley AF base took care of us in less than an hour, no appointment, with no less than 25 other members in the que.
-Unreasonable command in some units that creates more problems to the enlisted personnel rather than solving it. Officers often seeks to put personnel in trouble or smashing members careers creating a negative competition among members reducing morale, increasing tense work atmosphere or even toxic work environment. In addition, command promotes and advances members without proper leadership skills and or people skills and or knowledge for the leadership position which very often is displayed by multiple examples of unprofessionalism and misbehavior. You may encounter also with a workplace that can drain you with constant drama that takes time away from your routine tasks.n-You may end up overwhelmed in a fast faced atmosphere. Often is required to fulfill with pointless tasks that are solely time consuming. That's the reason why often quality of work is not quite visible.n-Members assistance is just a façade for command political purposes only that costs millions of dollars to the tax payer. Such as Command Master/Senior Chief, Equal Employee Opportunity/Civil Rights, Legal Assistance, District level, Employee Work Atmosphere Surveys, Command Meetings etc. Formal complaints against the command due to discrimination is a waste of time, paper and patience and no justice is served and you end up working in the same toxic work environment for the rest of the tour with no improvement at all and gets even worse.n-Employee reviews is an unfair process filled with loopholes that most of the time does not necessarily reflect accuracy of a members performance but also commands preferences and is often used to break members career for any reason. The last word in the approval for such evaluation is an officer who you don't work with him on a daily basis. And if you don't get a recommendation for advancement you cannot appeal the mark turning your career into a cruel waste of time.n-Duty and Watch standing tasks a complete waste of time.
I have always found parking when I arrive. Attended to with great care and respect. Great hard working crew.
Very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I went to the ID card office to get my CAC unlocked and it took literally 2 minutes to resolve the issue. I went to Langley for the same issue and it took 2 days and 5 hours of waiting.
