We didn't go into the visitor center since it was getting late, so I can only comment on the self-guided trail. It takes you through the events of that bloody December and the plaques show you where you are standing in regards to that day. The experience is very moving and thoughtful. Take the time to relate to all of the innocent young lives lost that day.
Had a picnic under a spreading oak tree. Such an historic place. Solemn and peaceful. I love visiting there.
One of my favorite parks and excellent location in downtown Fredericksburg. Perfect for exercise, dog walking, and bike riding.
Park Rangers were great with the grandkids. Grounds were very well kept. Great weather.
Clean, friendly staff, organized and very well kept. My granddaughter loved it.
