Did some research on the location and water conditions. What no one talks about in these reviews is it's been taken over from Mexicans and such. Sitting here in the parking lot and counted 42 cars and more pulling in. The ramp is closed down due to mexicans pulled in there..if your a fisherman, don't go, it's a waste of time. Everything they catch is killed
The place itself is wonderful. However, getting into it can be super challenging as the exit is on a busy road and it's a very narrow road. It's crowded on nicer days, so plan accordingly. The trails are well maintained and the boat launch itself is serviceable. I am not one for crowds and the difficulty getting into the place are why I give it three stars.
Feels like a hangout place for teenagers, wasn't sure how I felt about leaving my car here but I came back at 11pm the same day and my car was untouched
Good location just under Hwy 50 bridge. Nice ramp, but a bit steep & shallow water at end if ramp. That is during summer time, but once the water starts flowing, it shoul be no problem. Clean area with plenty of parking for boat trailers etc.
One of the best places, been goin here since my father used to take me when I was a little kid. Beautiful area and not usually to busy either.
