Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg, VA

We booked this hotel under the impression we were getting a 3 star hotel. Upon arrival, there was a large group of people including employees smoking weed outside. Upon going to our room the elevator and hallways smelled of weed as well. The sheets on the bed were dirty, either mold or feces. The sink was missing the stopper, the tub stopper was basically a hat and the drain was filthy. The carpet turned my feet black and after washing them in the tub and walking around I confirmed it was the carpet. We wound up leaving and booking at another hotel for a few dollars more.nnIf you're cool with fleas and loitering, this place is fine. We were staying for just a single night and left at midnight with sleeping tired kids. It was bad.

Wish they would have honored my coupon rate,however overall decent place to stay. The staff at the front desk that checked us in was exceptional at her job. We did have a smoker in an adjacent room in an all non smoking hotel,the smell was coming right into our bathroom and entranceway. We did advise hotel staff and the smell got better.

Very good value for price. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Offered bag breakfast on way out. Staff was polite.

Website is user friendly. Allowed 30 minute grace when checking out since I was late checking in. Room was clean thought the decor (minus bed) was kind of dated. Whirlpool was slightly underwhelming the jets seemed a little lackluster. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Vending machines on floors cash only but in lobby take card. PANDEMIC UPDATE: Though the hotel states breakfast included, due to restrictions the breakfast bar can not operate. Breakfast is a bag with a prepackaged muffin and granola bar in a variety of flavors, fruit, bottled water, and coffee option. Had to door dash a hot meal.

Wonderful hotel. Easy check-in and check-out. Near everything, easy to get to and from I-95.
