Lincoln National Forest

This place is always beautifully kept. The air is clean the people are friendly and the shops are whimsical. It rained twice while we were there and the temperature dropped to a cool 40 degrees in April. I love it! I will return

All of Lincoln Forest area is amazing. We explore different Trails, beautiful drive and encounter Deer's... Beautiful!

I am interested to know if anyone has visited the LNF and driven through on 506 to Carlsbad. The road appears to be paved from the online maps but it looks like it may be rough. My other question is whether the observatories in LNF are open, during CV. We are excited to make our first visit. Thanks for your help

Beautiful. Friendly communities throughout. Plenty of activities to do all around the park in these communities. Lots of opportunities, and space, to pull over and see the views. Lots of trails for every skill level. Definitely recommend.
