Comet Cleaners

I walked into this place and asked for a price list. Of course they don't supply one which is odd. Then I inquired how much they charged to wash and press a shirt. This is not dry cleaning, this is simply wash and press. I was told $3.25 per shirt. Well let me tell you folks that is a RIP off! I moved to the area from Denver. Now Denver is about 3 times the cost of living as Alamoghetto, however you can have your shirts pressed all day long for $2.25 per shirt . I did some research and it seems this is the only dry cleaner in town. The owners must be making a killing. Someone should really consider giving these guys some competition. Someone please open a dry cleaner in town with better prices and better hours including weekends. These owners have it far too easy! With competition comes better customer service !

I've used this place a few times and have always thought the service is amazing, but this past time blew me away. Our squadron had our holiday party and I got a few BBQ sauce stains on my suit because I eat like a 5 yo. I didn't bother to check the pockets at drop off and when I picked up the suit, the checkout girl said they found some stuff in there and put the items in an envelope. I opened it and there was about $30 worth of cash. I thank them for their honesty and I'll try to remember to check my pockets from now on.

Comet Cleaners is an alterations located in downtown Alamogordo. I took my service dress there for a quick dry cleaning including jacket, pants, and 2 long sleeves and it was around $20. Not only do I think the price is reasonable, they have a quick turnaround of one day if you drop it off before 9 in the morning, then you can pick it up in the afternoon. So far I've had good experience on my behalf and will continue to take my business to this establishment. I do wish they have an alterations in the same building, I really do think that would bring in more clients as a one-stop-shop for the town. Visited and have worked with many dry cleaning businesses and this one is definitely one of my favorites due to the quick turnaround and he's Anibal price. I know some people in the comments were practically want the service to be free but I can't speak on their behalf. Anyway, right now they have three pants for $10 and I don't think it's a bad idea considering many people don't know how to wash clothes in iron. Anyway, good business, will continue to support this establishment.

They shouldn't charge the same for childs clothing as they do for adult size clothing.These were tiny little boys size 4 t-shirts and shorts, 2 adult tops and 1 pr.boys size 12 pants and t-shirts. Most were laundered and spot cleaned to get out small lipstick stains. It was $101.46! I was speechless. Guess I need to ask for an estimate if I ever go back.
