What this place considers “guests” BEWARE especially guests with DOGS. Even though they know you’re staying there with dogs because you ask for a dog-friendly room and the reservation says 2 dogs. They try to fine print you. This super 8 aka Scam 8 tried to charge me $107+tax and fine print $30 for dogs. For a laughable total of $153. This for a dirty room that we didn’t even shower in because it was so gross. $153 for a super 8 in Alamosa not downtown Denver, but Alamosa! (you as a super 8 establishment really think that room is worth $153!). Who in their right mind would PAY THAT!????? The “free” breakfast was garbage! No wonder it’s free, it’s meant for the rats. Lesson learned, LA QUINTA all the way when you’re traveling with dogs or any other time for that matter! No hidden pet fees, they’re not trying to pull one over you by the fine print. Or travel with a lawyer so they can see the fine print this roach motel is trying to get away with.

I had a great experience while staying at the Super 8. The staff is very friendly and were attentive to all our needs. The manager was very knowledgeable about places in the area that were fun for the whole family. The Super 8 is in the perfect location, the Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls, and the fishing areas are all within a short driving distance. The best part was the rooms were very clean and we felt safe that the staff was so sanitary!

So we stayed here because we liked the Super 8 in Durango. But this hotel room smelled like cigarettes even though it was non smoking. There was a roach crawling in the bathtub. The walls were dirty visibly. The heater was loud because one of the fans inside definitely was loose and rattling. Never again and it was more expensive than the one in Durango. I mean the Hotel employee was super nice and she was friendly.

I would rate this place a zero if I could. My husband took a shower and didn't notice the towel was very dirty and smelled liked mold. Very disappointed in this place.
