I attended the school during 2002-2004 when it RE-opened as a new elementary school. It was previously Salida's only Junior High School and has since been remodeled as a GATE Magnet school for gifted advanced students from grades K-6. I had Mr. Oaks and Miss Nelson. All the teachers are phenomenal, loving the students and showing compassion and encouraging them. I enjoyed my time as a student there and have since returned to say hello to my former teachers. Beautiful place with plenty of room for growing, energetic kids.
