Northwest African American Museum

Phenomenal! Was unsure of what the museum would have. It did not disappoint, but rather I was incredibly surprised and delighted I took the time to peruse the artwork displayed. Highly recommend for all ages and ethnicities ❣

I was expecting more historical information. They devoted at least a third of the museum to local artist. I did enjoyed the exhibits they had, though.

Small, interesting, educational. Highly encourage folks to visit. I'm from Alabama and grew up at the end of the civil rights movement. This highlights things that happened in Washington as part of the civil rights movement. Please stop in and support the NWAAM. I love this place.

I loved this place, an interesting mix between historical and art museum with a focus on the Northwest & African Americans if you couldn't gather from the title. It's rather small, it's great for a short day trip in a couple hours and you could read every plack. It was amazing to see how and when African Americans flocked to the Pacific Northwest.

What a nice building and 5 thumbs up for free parking. The outdoor space is massive perfect for spring summer weather. The building is big but the actual museum is quite small I thought it'd be 2 stories. The museum had some interesting pieces and exhibits beautiful artwork just the museum portion was a little small. Still learned a lot. I hope it expands.
